Backstory

Graviton has taken over a facility located deep within the Canadian Rockies. Noted of this The Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. moved to re-capture and pull the plug on whatever Graviton was trying to do. Arriving on scene the Avengers move to infiltrate the base. Inside the base it is found that there are HAMMER and AIM robotics protecting Graviton, the Avengers leapt into action. Unfortunately it seemed that the robotics were all the same level as the Avengers somehow, desperate to strop Graviton Iron Man ordered Captain America to charge forth and take on Graviton one on one. Captain America jumped into action knowing that the Avengers could handle their own, not taking any chances he went straight to Graviton where he was confronted by not only Graviton but Red Skull and M.O.D.O.K. as well! Red skull was alive, and it seemed that he was working with others to do something with the machine that Graviton was working on. Quickly, Captain America jumped into action swiftly defeating Red Skull, and M.O.D.O.K. before turning his attention to Graviton who had already started the machine. Desperate Captain America launched his shield at the wall lunging at Graviton to distract him. Using this chance Graviton used his powers to force Captain America to the ground, however the distraction worked and the shield ricocheted off the wall and pushed itself into the machine causing it to malfunction and suddenly a massive explosion, one that could rival that of a nuclear explosion happened. The Avengers, Red Skull, M.O.D.O.K. Graviton, and a good chunk of S.H.I.E.L.D. was no more....

The explosion caused a massive effect however, entering the atmosphere the explosion released millions of tiny exobites that began infecting certain people causing them to gain super powers and in some cases just increased the persons natural talents magnificently. It is unknown what Graviton, Red Skull, and M.O.D.O.K. planned to do with these but that didn't matter now. Noting the increase of Superheroes Nick Fury worked with S.H.I.E.L.D., the remainder of the Avengers, Professor Xavier and the X-Men, as well as other super hero teams to help those who have come in contact with the Exobite creating the first ever United Superheroes of the World (USW), a council of each leader of each team. Together S.H.I.E.L.D and the USW have begun training and aiding the new super powers across the world to bring a better life, and contend with the evil doers whom are also choosing to recruit the newbies...

On the flip side of this however, the villainous people whom have become organized begin searching out for new and possibly interesting recruits. The Brotherhood of Mutants, Dr. Doom's organization, even some of the not so organized evildoers have begun to get involved. However, even those whom have not been searching out recruits have begun to get more active due to the increase of heroes, wanting to assert their dominance over the newly found fledglings, or use the chaos and ensuing confusion to make a profit. Realizing this, after training the organizations of the USW have started to send out, and enforce the law working harder, and more diligently then ever before.
