What are Origins?
Origins are exactly as the definition says, this is the basics of what your powers are going to be about. There are many origins that you can start out with ranging from Humans, to Aliens. Each one is going to give you boosts to certain things, as well as the limitations that you will need to follow statistically. So without further adieu allow me to introduce all the Origins:
Human: You are a normal human, you have no exceptional abilities such as the super human counter parts, but you are amazing on a human level. Humans cap out at Good (10) for your stats at creation, overtime with training however your Trainable Skills (Fighting, Agility, Intuition, and Psyche) can max out at Incredible (40), while your non-trainable skills (Endurance, Reasoning, and Strength) can max out at Remarkable (20). However the rest of your points you can use towards your stunts, talents, and powers. As a bonus however, they are allowed to have two Talents, and Four contacts at the very beginning in comparison to others.
Altered Human: You are a human altered by some unknown means or known means such as science, you are stronger then a normal human in many cases and have skills or abilities that they may not have. As an altered human you are allowed +1 CS to any FASERIP Stat, You gain x1.5 the amount of reputation that anyone else has and start at a reputation of +10. Altered humans have an increased stat cap maxing out at Amazing(60) for trainable stats (Fighting, Intuition, Agility, and Psyche) and Incredible(40) for non-trainable stats (Endurance, Reasoning, and Strength). At creation your limited to Remarkable stats however.
Technology You are somewhat of a normal human, except you are mentally an extremely gifted human. Knowing your way around vast amounts of technology you can get Reasoning up to Spectacular (50) at the very beginning if you desire, however you are limited to Good(10) for the rest of your stats without your boosted abilities. You are allowed to have inventions that increase your statistics to new levels allowing you to combat evil on a scale that humans are no able to. You receive 1 free power at no cost that is the invention that helps with your stats, as well as 1 Extra Contact, with a +10 to reputation. Keep in mind that your inventions and other things are considered your powers, not equipment. Also, your tech can be countered, and when it is all your boosts are negated which means that you then have your normal human stats. So keep those handy as well in a separate Statistical Column.
Mutant: Mutants are not liked at all, and have no limit statistically to what they can do to their stats based upon their powers. You receive an automatic -20 Reputation, however you get +1 CS to a power of your choice. They start with Professor Xavier or Mystique as a contact as well, dependent on their archetype [Good = Xavier, Bad = Mystique, Rogue = Xavier/Mystique]. You also gain reputation x.5 as fast as any other origin.
Alien: Aliens is a blanket term of things not of known earth, such as gods, Atlanteans, actual aliens, or inter-dimensional beings that come from well, other dimensions. These guys have no limitation to any form of their statistics or powers, however have no contacts, no reputation and no Karma. Further more you have 175 points to put towards powers, and 150 points towards statistics, rather then the normal 200 towards powers and 125 towards Statistics. You may also speak to a GM about including an original race of Alien, which comes with its own bonus', however you agree that these can be used and made by other people, even of the GM to make evil.
Original Origin: Come up with your own origins separate from these origins here and tell us about them, give them bonuses, and such and we'll work with you to make an original origin special for just you.
